RECENT VERDICTS AND SETTLEMENTS
$7.75 million- Civil Rights and wrongful death action brought by the family of deceased

$4.7 million- Repeated verbal and physical assaults on Yemeni-American employee, while supervisor failed to protect employee and discipline the assailant

$1.277 million- Race based attack and serious injury by violent acts against Plaintiffs, who were lured to an isolated warehouse

$2.8 million- Wrongful death, products liability case involving a tow motor accident at a sewage treatment plant



Frederick K. Brewington to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Long Island Business News' Leadership in Law Awards Ceremony

On November 19, Frederick K. Brewington of The Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award during Long Island Business News' Leadership in Law Awards ceremony. The event will take place that night at 6:30 p.m. at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will recognize a current or former senior attorney who has honorably represented the legal profession by exemplifying performance, leadership, integrity, mentoring throughout his/her career while bettering the legal profession overall.

While he maintains a general practice, Mr. Brewington concentrates his practice in the area of civil rights litigation, with a focus on affordable housing, community revitalization efforts, employment, the environment and voting rights and fair representation. His practice also includes criminal defense and personal injury. In 2015, Mr. Brewington was selected to the list of New York Metro Super Lawyers for the third year in a row in the practice areas of Civil Rights, Criminal Defense and Employment Litigation: Plaintiff.

He is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, the National Employment Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Nassau County Bar Association and other regional Bar Associations. Mr. Brewington is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as before the United States Supreme Court, U.S. First and Second Circuit Courts of Appeal, U.S. District Courts of New Jersey and the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts of New York.

Mr. Brewington graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with honors with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
