Frederick K. Brewington Keynotes EOP/AIM’s 45th Anniversary Gala

Noted civil rights attorney Frederick K. Brewington was the keynote speaker at the Educational Opportunity Program/Advancement on Individual Merit (EOP/AIM) 45th Anniversary Gala in Harlem. The event, which was held March 29, was attended by Stony Brook University administrators, faculty, staff, students and alumni.

The EOP began at Stony Brook University in 1968 at MIST Harlem in New York City. With its motto “Making Excellence Available,” EOP has provided access, academic support and additional financial assistance to low-income students who wish to attend college. Since its launch, EOP/AIM at Stony Brook University has helped more than 5,000 students receive their undergraduate degrees.
