RANDY WHITE FILES FEDERAL CIVIL RIGHTS RICO LAWSUIT TO VINDICATE HIS RIGHTS AFTER HIS MISTREATMENT BY NASSAU COUNTY POLICE
Frederick K. Brewington held a press conference in his office on August 8 to announce that a federal civil rights and RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organization) action was filed on behalf of his client, Randy White (a/k/a Randy Hoskins). The lawsuit named former Nassau County Police Commissioner Thomas Dale, former Nassau County Chief of Detectives John Capece, former Nassau County Police Sergeant Sal Mistretta and Gary Melius, owner of Oheka Castle, as defendants.
The lawsuit alleged that, following his arrest on October 5, 2013, Mr. White was subject to numerous strip searches and cavity searches while he was incarcerated. The lawsuit further stated that the defendants conspired to violate Mr. White’s civil rights in an attempt to have him change his sworn testimony in an ongoing election law case.
Mr. Brewington was joined by Mr. White and his father during the press conference.
