The Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington is a well-respected litigation firm with an office in Hempstead, Long Island. Our focus is primarily in the area of civil rights, voting rights, employment discrimination, police misconduct, personal injury, medical malpractice, wrongful death and criminal law. However, the Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington is a full- service law firm handling matters in numerous areas of law and providing a wide range of services from contract formation to litigation and trial practice.

Stephanie M. Platt is a
dedicated young attorney
committed to civil and human
rights. She has a compassion
for justice and has worked
hard to advance the rights of
those she represents. Ms.
Platt earned her Bachelor
of Arts degree at Connecticut
College, majoring in History
and American Studies, and
her Juris Doctor degree
from Touro Law Center. Ms.
Platt began to manifest her
longstanding interest in
litigation and trial work while
at Touro when she was
selected to participate on
two different trial teams: the Touro Law Center Mock Trial Team and the Black Law Students Association Mock Trial Team. As a previous law student extern at the Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington, she continues to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the cause of Justice Posse, both through her work in the past and also her recent decision to join full-time.

Ms. Platt has exhibited interest in civil rights law and constitutional law as far back as her undergraduate studies when she interned at the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office, Division on Civil Rights and returned years later as a legal intern. While studying abroad during law school in Berlin, Germany, Ms. Platt’s coursework focused on mediation, international human rights, and comparative constitutional law.

Born and raised in northeast New Jersey where her family still resides, Ms. Platt spent time working for the New Jersey Judiciary, both for the Honorable Susan D. Wigenton of the U.S. District Court and also for the Honorable John A. Conte, Superior Court Judge of Bergen County, prior to beginning her tenure with our firm. Ms. Platt is admitted to practice in the state of New Jersey, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and is awaiting admission in the state of New York as well as the Eastern District of New York. Outside of the office, Ms. Platt enjoys spending time with her family, including her three majestic Labrador retrievers.
