On JANUARY 9, 2019 at 10:30 at the Law Offices of Frederick K. Brewington, located at 556 Peninsula Blvd., Hempstead, New York, 11550, suspended Superintendent, Dr. Shimon Waronker, who still has not had a hearing on bogus charges brought against him by the School Board and its attorney, will address the clear abuses by the Hempstead School Board in failing to properly vet the Hearing Officer they proposed, failed to hire the Hearing Officer and failed to check the rate of compensation before proposing the Hearing Officer. Yet in a 7 ½ month period the Board has taken money from Teacher Salaries to help pay their lawyers, $817,852.79. While the Teachers and other educational professionals have gone without a contract or monetary raises for years, the Board has continued to make decisions which are contrary to the good and educational needs of the children of Hempstead. At the press conference, details will be revealed about actual uses of money by the Board that raise serious questions about where their allegiances and priorities lie. Dr. Waronker will announce new developments in the defense of the false charges against him and the prosecution of his Civil Rights law suit against the District. In addition, facts will be detailed about members of the Board of Education who have supported and been in collusion with a known felon, that they have allowed to come onto School property. For all of this, they will be called upon to resign!
